The late Ndubuisi Emenike, who ran for the 2019 senatorial position under the Action Alliance in the Imo North Senatorial District, met an untimely death when a member of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) accidentally shot him on Sunday, January 26th.   According to Orlando Ikeokwu, the Imo state police command spokesperson, the incident occurred during Emenike’s visit to the residence of the All Progressives Congress candidate, Miriam Onuoha, in celebration of her victory at the rerun election in the Okigwe North Federal constituency, which took place on Saturday, January 25th.
