DisCos Offered to Return Licences Twice, but FG Refused, Says ANED
Sunday Oduntan, the Executive Director of research and advocacy of the Association of Nigerian Electricity Distributors (ANED), has responded to the comment attributed to the minister of power, Saleh Mamman, regarding DisCos stepping aside if they cannot show enough capacity in distributing electricity.
During an interview with ARISE TV on Monday, February 24, Oduntan disclosed that the federal government rejected their offer to return their licences twice.
He emphasized that the federal government is free to take any action against them as long as they uphold the terms of the agreement signed.
