Alleged Kidnapping Stunt of a Kaduna Pastor Leads to His Arrest
The Kaduna state police command has apprehended James Clement, a pastor in the state, over allegations that he orchestrated his own abduction and demanded a ransom of N5 million from his family.
In a statement issued by the command's spokesperson, Yakubu Sabo, it was disclosed that Clement and his associate, George Otokpa, were apprehended by the police anti-kidnapping unit.
According to Sabo, “Clement falsely claimed to have been kidnapped while Otokpa engaged his family to negotiate for ransom while in their hideout.”
