Code of Conduct Bureau indicts 10 aides of Governor Ganduje

The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) has indicted 10 aides of Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.  The aides were supposed to disclose monies and assets to the CCB within a specific timeframe after taking office. They have reportedly been linked to significant sums of money in local and foreign currency accounts as well as physical assets, and have been accused of failing to declare certain assets that have been traced to them. The Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU) Ikoyi, Lagos has been fined N2m by a Federal High Court in Lagos for breaching the fundamental human rights of Reverend Godwin Izuchukwu and his wife Reverend Prayer Godwin by unlawfully detaining them for 8 days. Recounting their ordeal before Justice Sule Hassan's judgement, the clerics disclosed that they were detained from April 24 till May 1, 2019 by the SFU, at the instance of one Jane Nzekwe and Kate Nwuba. After a fierce battle, MMA fighters Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Weili Zhang have received a two-month medical suspension due to the disfigurement they suffered.   Their recent fight in Las Vegas resulted in bloody injuries, leading to both fighters being hospitalized after the intense five-round contest. Zhang, the strawweight champion, managed to retain her belt in a split decision victory.   As reported by MMA Mania, the Nevada State Athletic Commission has imposed a two-month medical suspension on both athletes.   The fighters are prohibited from entering the Octagon until May 5 and are also restricted from engaging in contact sparring until April 22.

Tragic Incident: Two Children in South Africa Succumb to Suspected Poisoning

Following a devastating tragedy, two children lost their lives, while their mother fights for survival in an intensive care unit after consuming a meal that was allegedly poisoned.   Sindiswa Moloi, 33, from Katlehong in Ekurhuleni slipped into a coma and was admitted at a hospital in Alberton following suspected poisoning which killed her two children Nkanyezi, 11, and Michelle, 8.   The two were declared dead near their Tshongweni Section home in Katlehong on Thursday evening, approximately an hour after consuming their supper.   Moloi's family suspects a very close relative may be responsible for the alleged poisoning incident.   Police spokesperson Capt Lesetja Mathobela, who confirmed the incident, mentioned that two inquest dockets have been opened.
