Fire outbreak again at Balogun market in Lagos (photos/video)

A fresh fire outbreak incident has been reported at the famous Balogun market located on Lagos Island. According to eyewitnesses, the fire originated from the building opposite Oluwole Car Park on Martins Street. The state fire service personnel are currently engaged in efforts to contain and extinguish the flames. It's worth noting that the market witnessed another fire incident back in November 2019. Earlier today, it was reported that approximately 20 balaclava-clad supporters, with some believed to be associated with United's notorious 'Men In Black' hooligan firm, carried out an attack at the luxurious £2m Cheshire mansion of the club's chief, Ed Woodward, where he resides with his wife and two young children.   The attackers set off fireworks and a smoke bomb, and then proceeded to spray paint his gates red, in protest of his management of the club since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013. The NYSC DG Ibrahim Shuaibu announces increase of Corp members’ allowance to N33,000

Shuaibu Ibrahim, the director-general of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has announced that the monthly allowance of corp members has been increased to N33,000. This uplifting news was delivered during his working visit to the NYSC secretariat in Bauchi.   As per a statement released on the scheme's official Facebook page, Ibrahim stated that the increase aligns with the new minimum wage approved by the federal government. He further added that provisions for the new allowance have been included in the 2020 budget, and payments will commence as soon as funds are released by the appropriate authorities.   President Buhari signed the new minimum wage bill into law in April 2019.
