Confirmation has been received that Samuel Kalu, the forward for Bordeaux and a member of the Super Eagles, has tested positive for COVID-19.   AFP has reported that the club revealed on July 6 that Kalu, who has been under quarantine in France, is the player who has contracted COVID-19.   Since the start of the training camp, he has not been able to participate in the team's training sessions and may not be able to take part in some of the club's pre-season matches.
