Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 Fund Denied Access by Federal Government
The Federal Government has prohibited the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 Control from accessing the multi-billion funds mobilised for the COVID-19 response by the Organised Private Sector (OPS).
A new framework, issued by the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF) on May 5, stipulates that all disbursements of the COVID-19 Fund, including those managed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and commercial banks, must be done through appropriation.
