UK Decides to Bring Some Staff Members Back Home from Chinese Embassy
Following the outbreak of the coronavirus, the United Kingdom has taken the decision to withdraw some of its embassy and consulate staff from China. This was confirmed in a statement released on Saturday, February 1.
The statement emphasized that essential staff required for critical operations will remain in the country.
The UK authorities have also acknowledged that if the health situation within China continues to worsen, the British Embassy and Consulates may have limited capacity to assist British nationals in the country.
