Five Abuja Residents Arrested for False Claim of Contracting Coronavirus

An Outbreak of Lassa Fever in Kaduna Leads to One Death, with Another New Case Confirmed

The recent outbreak of Lassa fever in Kaduna has resulted in the death of another patient, just a week after the first fatality.    In an announcement made on Saturday, February 1, the Kaduna State Government disclosed that a new case has been identified as a 34-year-old man who is currently receiving treatment at the Infectious Disease Control Centre.   Dr Amina Mohammed-Baloni, the State's Commissioner for Health, mentioned that out of 23 suspected cases, 15 tested negative, while six test samples are still pending. Alleged Suicide of LASTMA Official

The individual, known only as Akinde, was discovered hanging from a tree in Opebi, close to the well-known Adebola House.
