Dr. Isa Ali Pantami, Nigeria's Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, expressed his concern that Nigerians are placing themselves at risk of insecurity by freely sharing personal information on social media platforms.
During the 29th convocation lecture of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, the Minister questioned the rationale behind Nigerians disclosing details such as their dining preferences, residential locations, places of employment, and other sensitive personal information on social media.
Pantami emphasized that many Nigerians are unaware of the potential dangers associated with freely disclosing such personal details on social media platforms.
