Hate speech: AGF Abubakar Malami asserts that no society will tolerate such a grave crime
Addressing the ongoing debate on the controversial social media and Hate Speech bills, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, emphasized that no society will permit the grave crime of hate speech to go unchecked without taking measures to address it.
Speaking at a town hall meeting in Abuja themed “Social Media and anti-Hate Speech Bills,” organized by Daar Communications PLC, owners of AIT, the Minister expressed concern at the alarming prevalence of acrimonious and vilifying statements on social media.
