The World Health Organisation (WHO) has dismissed the idea that garlic and saline can protect against the coronavirus. The WHO shared infographics on its Instagram page to dispel various myths and rumours surrounding the 2019-nCoV. According to the international health organization, although garlic is a healthy food with antimicrobial properties, there is no evidence that it can prevent coronavirus. Additionally, there is no evidence to support the claim that regularly rinsing the nose with saline can protect against the new coronavirus.

A viral video on social media captured the moment when Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) operatives rescued several kidnap victims. The rescue took place while the victims' abductors were absent. SARS operatives were alerted by concerned citizens and swiftly acted to rescue the victims. During the rescue, a male victim, whose eyes and hands were bound, disclosed that the abduction occurred the previous night. He also revealed that the kidnappers had sexually assaulted the female victim. It remains uncertain whether the perpetrators of this heinous act have been apprehended.
