Court Sentences Woman to Six Months in Prison for Stealing Goat to Pay for Son’s Medical Treatment

A woman, Sadiat Jimoh, aged 30, has been given a six-month prison sentence by an Osogbo magistrate court for the theft of a goat valued at N45,000 in order to settle her son's medical bill. Sadiat stole a she-goat belonging to Fausat Adegboga in the Agunbelewo area of Osogbo metropolis on Sunday, January 5. The prosecutor, Abiodun Fagboyinbo, informed the court that "Sadiat Jimoh and one other person at large conspired to commit felony to wit stealing on January 5 at Agunbelewo in Osogbo."
