The House of Reps speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, urges the US to assist in defeating Boko Haram
During a meeting with the US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Leonard, in Abuja on February 11, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabimila, appealed to the United States government for assistance in defeating insurgency and other security challenges plaguing Nigeria.
Gbajabiamila expressed the concerns of Nigerians regarding the persistent insecurity and their hope for support from the United States. Additionally, he commended the US Government's decision to repatriate over $300m Abacha loot.
