Garba Shehu: Opposition Allegedly Paid People to Boo President Buhari in Maiduguri
Accusations have been leveled by Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, who claimed that members of the opposition paid individuals to heckle the president during his recent visit to Borno state on Wednesday, February 13th.
The President's visit to Borno State was a show of empathy following the terror attack in Auno community on Sunday, February 9th. During his convoy drive, he was met with disapproval from some of the state's residents.
During an interview on the Hausa Service of the BBC, Garba Shehu suggested that the booing was orchestrated by political opponents.
