Football Players Accused of Rape and Kidnapping
Two Ohio State University football team members are facing charges of rape and kidnapping in Columbus.
Amir Riep and Jahsen Wint, both 21 years old and set to be seniors next season, were arrested early Wednesday on felony charges of rape and kidnapping, according to Franklin County online jail records.
The alleged incident occurred on the night of February 4 at a Columbus apartment complex where both Riep and Wint reside.
According to the criminal complaints filed in the municipal court, a 19-year-old woman was engaged in consensual sex with Riep. When she expressed her desire to stop, Wint entered the room, and after Riep asked if Wint could join, he allegedly pushed her down by the neck and both men raped her, as per Columbus police.
