Who ordained you? Sammie Okposo calls out Pastor David Antwi for saying ‘you’re a thief if you play church instruments and collect money’ (video)

The founder and General Overseer of Kharis Church in the United Kingdom, Pastor David Antwi, has come under fire from Nigerian gospel singer Sammie Okposo for his statement on instrumentalists who collect money after playing in churches. According to the UK-based Pastor, such instrumentalists are thieves and also described them as Satan's cousins. Reacting to the controversial statement, Sammie Okposo expressed his disagreement, stating that it is wrong on all levels. He pointed out that while some instrumentalists serve as volunteers in their home churches, those who engage in playing church instruments as their full-time job and main source of livelihood should be paid. Okposo also questioned who ordained the UK-based preacher and challenged him to justify his remarks with relevant Bib...

Man caught after deceiving a widow and her two daughters into intimate relationship

An artisan named Monsuru Adesiyan, also known as Oba Idan, was arrested for tricking a widow and her daughters into engaging in intimate acts with him. According to reports, Adesiyan convinced the widow to engage in the inappropriate relationship under the pretext of protecting her family from a looming spiritual threat. The situation worsened when Adesiyan continued his advances on the widow's 19-year-old and 13-year-old daughters, despite claiming initially that it was a short-term ritual involving cleansing their private parts with a white cloth at a deity's grove. The Odua People’s Congress (OPC) at Iju Station in Lagos, where the family resides, intervened when the situation escalated into a confrontation. Fakorede Oluifa, a chiefta...

US denies responsibility for airstrike that killed 6 Iraqi militia leaders

The United States government has rejected the accusation that it carried out an airstrike resulting in the deaths of 6 high-ranking members of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), which is a coalition of Iran-supported militias. Multiple reports have claimed that the PMF members were traveling in a three-car convoy north of Baghdad when the airstrike took place. While Iraqi State TV attributed the strike, which left three others injured, to the US, the US-led coalition fighting Islamic State stated on Saturday, January 4, that it did not conduct any airstrikes near Camp Taji north of Baghdad. Spokesperson for the Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR), Colonel Myles B. Caggins III, tweeted: "FACT: The Coalition @CJTFOIR did NOT conduct airstrikes near Camp Taji (nort...

Poor swimming pool design led to drowning of Redeemed Pastor and his two kids in Spain – Expert

An expert has attributed the tragic drowning incident of a Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor, Gabriel Diya, and his two children in a pool in Spain to human error and poor pool design. According to Allen Wilson, a prominent swimming pool expert, the design of the pool at Costa Del Sol in Spain was deemed unsafe due to having only one outlet at the bottom, rather than the recommended two separate outlets. This, he believes, led to excessive suction vacuum and contributed to the deaths. Wilson expressed his willingness to conduct a report for the family free of charge, stating that the pool's poor design and lack of maintenance are common issues in swimming pools in Spain. He also called for an impartial investigation by an independent swimming pool expert to examine the pool ...
