The claim of a group from Iran hacking a US government agency website

After the US airstrike that killed General Qassem Soleimani, a group claiming to be from Iran has hacked a US government agency website.   The group called 'Iran Cyber Security Group Hackers' replaced the website of the Federal Depository Library Program with a page titled “Iranian Hackers!” on Saturday, January 4, in retaliation for the death of General Soleimani.   The hacked page displayed a bloodied image of US President Donald Trump being punched in the face, along with a message in Farsi and English, asserting that “martyrdom was [Soleimani’s] reward for years of implacable efforts,” and highlighted Iran’s cyber capabilities.   In addition, the hackers showcased images of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the Iranian flag.     A spokesperson from the Cybersecu...

Chief Justice of Nigeria, Ibrahim Muhammad Denies Involvement in N4m Scandal with Shehu Sani

Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Ibrahim Muhammad has distanced himself from the case involving former Senator Shehu Sani, who is under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged extortion.   Earlier reports from LIB alleged that the lawmaker from Kaduna central senatorial district had solicited money from Sani Dauda, owner of ASD Motors, to influence the outcome of Dauda's court cases using connections with the CJN and other judges.   In a statement released on Sunday, January 5, Muhammad stated that he has never met Sani and denied any connection to the case. The CJN also pledged to ensure that those spreading such false accusations would be held accountable.   The statement reads, "Our attention has been drawn to the story circulating in some n...

You lead the medal table of those who travel abroad for medical treatment- PDP replies Buhari

The rebuttal from the People's Democratic Party to President Buhari's stance on seeking medical treatment abroad emphasizes that the President leads in the number of Nigerians seeking foreign medical assistance. The party's response, released on Sunday, January 5th, highlights the contradiction in the President's position, noting that he himself seeks medical care outside the country. The statement points out the irony of a President who avails himself of foreign medical services while his administration fails to provide adequate healthcare domestically, and criticizes his attempt to discourage others from seeking medical treatment abroad. The party expresses disapproval of widespread foreign medical tourism by leaders and public office holders, especially given the neglect of the healt...
