In a shared video, the veteran singer expressed that those who disregard the health guidelines are essentially hurrying towards their own demise as they will bear the consequences of their actions instead of the government. Daddy Showkey questioned why some Nigerians find it challenging to adhere to "straightforward rules" such as hand washing and practicing social distancing. Lagos state government discharges 60 COVID-19 patients

The Lagos state government has released 60 COVID-19 patients, allowing them to return home and reunite with their families. The patients, made up of 40 males and 20 females, are all Nigerians. This announcement was made by the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, via Twitter. A total of 31 patients were discharged from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, while 19 and 10 patients were released from the Ibeju-Lekki and Eti-Osa Isolation Centres, respectively. All of them had fully recovered and tested negative for COVID-19 in two consecutive readings. With this development, the number of successfully managed and discharged COVID-19 cases in Lagos has reached 321.

Outbreak of Coronavirus: 101 Inmates Test Positive in DR Congo’s Military Prison

In Kinshasa's N'dolo military prison, 101 inmates have been confirmed to be infected with Coronavirus, as per the announcement made by the health ministry of the Democratic Republic of Congo.   A statement revealed that "Fifty-six (additional) people in Ndolo military prison were confirmed with COVID-19” on Saturday, while forty-three cases had been diagnosed at the prison on Thursday and Friday."   Authorities mentioned that only three infected inmates have been transferred to a hospital outside the facility.
