US denies American casualties from Iranian missile strikes, while Iran claims 80 Americans were killed
The United States Government announced that no American casualties occurred in the Iranian missile strikes targeting its air bases in Al Asad and Erbil in Iraq.
Iranian state television, however, reported that at least 80 "American terrorists" were killed in the attacks, involving 15 missiles launched by Tehran on US targets in Iraq. The report also alleged that over 100 other targets in the region are in Iran's sight and will subsequently be attacked if Washington takes any retaliatory measures. It claimed that US helicopters and military equipment were "severely damaged" in the strikes.
