Reports indicate that Charles Adenikinju, a well-known businessman in Ondo State, was fatally wounded by suspected hired assassins at his residence along Ife Road, Ondo town, the headquarters of Ondo-West Local Government Area.   Allegedly, three assailants forcibly entered the deceased's home and assaulted him with a machete before fatally shooting him in the stomach, resulting in immediate death.   Confirming the occurrence, Femi Joseph, the State Police Public Relations Officer, stated that the incident has been reported to the police and an investigation is underway.
