700 People in New York Voluntarily Quarantined After Returning from China
Upon returning from China, approximately 700 individuals in New York have opted for voluntary quarantines due to the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus in Wuhan, China.
Jill Montag, a spokesperson for the New York State Department of Health, confirmed that about 700 travelers have willingly agreed to a 14-day self-isolation period following their trips to China.
Even though none of the quarantined travelers have exhibited symptoms related to the virus, Ms. Montag emphasized the importance of "voluntary self-isolation to limit the potential spread of this virus."
