IGP Adamu Mohammed Disbands Zonal SARS in Ogun following Tiyamiyu Kazeem’s Death

The Zonal Intervention Squad of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Obada-Oko, Ogun State, has been disbanded by the Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Adamu. This action comes days after some SARS operatives in the zone reportedly caused the death of a player of Remo Stars Football Club, Tiyamiyu Kazeem. Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Criminal Investigations Department Force Headquarters, Peter Ogunyonwo, announced the disbandment of the ZIS during a condolence visit to the parents of the deceased in Sagamu. Ogunyonwo, who made the announcement during the visit accompanied by Governor of Ogun State Dapo Abiodun, stated that the ZIS office would be handed over to the Ogun State Police Command.

Former National Secretary of PDP, Olisa Metuh, Receives 7-year Jail Sentence
