Alleged Arrest of a Father for Allowing Underage Daughter to be Sexually Assaulted by his Friends in Imo

Police in Imo State have arrested a 44-year-old man for allegedly engaging in sexual activity with his 15-year-old daughter and also allowing his friends to do the same in Orji, Imo state.   Chimnonso Okonkwo is also accused of facilitating the sexual abuse of his teenage daughter by his friends.   The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Orlando Godson Ikeokwu, commented on the situation, stating, "It is noteworthy that this is not the first occurrence of such behavior."   "He frequently invites his friends to his residence to engage in sexual activity with his own daughter."   The incestuous acts were brought to light by a concerned neighbour of the suspect.   The police PRO revealed that Mr. Okonkwo has confessed to the crime.   The victim has reportedly confirm...

Minister of Health Osagie Ehanire denies claims of FG ''detaining'' Benue COVID19 patient against her will (video)

The claims made by Mrs. Susan Okpe, the index case of COVID-19 in Benue State, that she's being detained by the FG have been denied by Dr. Osagie Ehanire, Nigeria's Minister of Health. The London based woman, in a new online video, accused the Federal Government of keeping her for treatment against her will. However, the Minister explained at a briefing in Abuja on Tuesday, April 14, that Okpe has been tested positive for Covid-19 twice, but she has refused to accept the results, insisting that they are fake because she is not showing any symptom of the disease. Immigration chief Mohammed Babandede recovers from COVID-19

Mohammed Babandede, the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), has overcome COVID-19 after receiving treatment.   In March, the Immigration chief revealed that he had tested positive for the virus following his return from a trip to the UK and subsequently went into self-isolation.   In a tweet posted on Tuesday, April 14, Babandede announced that he had tested negative for COVID-19 twice. "I just received my 2nd negative report on COVID-19. I would like to thank all of you for your supplications. This victory is from God; we thank Him for giving me the opportunity to have the experience, which is more than my education and public service," he wrote.
