56-year-old Nigerian man dies of COVID19 related complications in Lagos
The unfortunate death of a 56-year-old Nigerian man in Lagos due to COVID-19 related complications was announced by the state Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, on Twitter on Tuesday April 14.
The deceased had recently returned to the country from the US. The Commissioner also provided updates on the COVID-19 situation in Lagos, stating that there were 13 new cases of COVID-19 infection confirmed, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos to 192. Additionally, 6 more COVID-19 patients, 5 males and 1 female, were discharged, bringing the total number of recovered and discharged patients in Lagos to 61. With this new fatality, the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Lagos has now reached 6.
