Governor Nyesom Wike has claimed that criminals terrorizing parts of Rivers State have established a hideout and operational base in Anambra state. The assertion was made during Governor Wike's inspection of large caches of arms displayed at the Government House, Port Harcourt by the state Commissioner of Police, Mustapha Dandaura. According to Wike, credible police information indicates that some of the criminals who rob and terrorize residents of the state retreat to Anambra State after their hideout is raided by security operatives. Arrest of a teenager for allegedly sodomizing a 6-year-old boy in Jigawa

President Buhari Issues New Statement on Chibok Girls After Six Years in Captivity

Today marks the sixth year since the abduction of the Chibok school girls by members of the Boko Haram sect.   The sect members abducted 276 girls from the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno state. Of these, 57 escaped when the truck conveying them broke down. In subsequent years, 21 girls were freed in October 2016 and 82 were released in May 2017.
