Details have emerged of how the Lagos State Police Command's Rapid Response Squad (RRS) came to the aid of a man whose wife went into labour. Early on Friday, April 17, at around 3 am in Ikoyi, the RRS operatives encountered the distressed man. He informed them of his predicament as he had no means of transporting his wife, who was in labour, to the hospital. The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has publicly corrected its earlier announcement of the total number of Coronavirus cases in Nigeria.    On Saturday night, the agency announced that Nigeria recorded 49 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total infections to 542.   However, the NCDC has now disclosed that a new case was mistakenly reported in Ekiti due to an error in the verification process.
