Exciting News from Governor Sanwo-Olu: Recovery of Four COVID19 Patients and Images of Discharged Patients

Another four COVID19 patients have been released in Lagos, bringing the total number of discharged patients in the state to 50.   The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, made the announcement on his Twitter page and shared photos of other COVID19 patients who have been discharged in the state. Today, 4 more patients, all male, including an 11-year-old boy, have been discharged from the Lagos State Isolation facilities to rejoin society. The patients, 3 from IDH, Yaba and 1 from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), have fully recovered and tested negative twice for #COVID19. Man arrested for poisoning 143 bags of garden eggs in Enugu

The Enugu State Police Command has detained Okonkwo Sunday for pouring a can of an assumed toxic liquid substance on approximately 143 bags of garden eggs valued at N729,000.00 at the Akwata sub-market of the Ogbete Main Market. Okonkwo Sunday, a 52-year-old man, was apprehended on April 8th following a report filed at the Central Police Station in the state. An investigation is underway at the State CID to determine the suspect's real motives and to apprehend and prosecute any accomplices involved in the crime. The High Commissioner of Ghana to the UK, Papa Owusu Ankomah, has contracted Coronavirus

Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK and Ireland, Papa Owusu Ankomah, has been diagnosed with Coronavirus.    Following a positive test result on Friday, April 10, Mr Ankomah was placed in the Intensive Care Unit of a London Hospital.    Having held the position of head of Ghana’s Mission in the UK and Ireland since June 2017, the diplomat is said to be responding well to treatment.    As of now, the UK has reported over 70,000 cases of COVID-19 and nearly 9,000 deaths. Meanwhile, Ghana has confirmed 378 cases of Coronavirus, with 34 recoveries and 6 fatalities.

Four COVID-19 patients discharged in Abuja

The capital city of Nigeria, Abuja, has seen the discharge of four COVID-19 patients who have successfully recovered from the disease at the Abuja Isolation Center. This brings the total number of discharged patients from the center to 11. The federal capital territory administration (FCTA) made the announcement of this positive development through a tweet. According to the tweet, "The FCTA has confirmed the discharge of four (4) #COVID19 patients, bringing the total number of discharged to eleven (11) in the FCT as at 12:30am, April 11th, 2020." As of now, Abuja has a total of 56 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
