Former Manchester United midfielder Fellaini discharged from Chinese hospital after Coronavirus treatment
Maraouane Fellaini, the former Manchester United and Everton midfielder, has been released from the hospital after testing positive for the novel Coronavirus nearly a month ago.
The Belgian, who currently plays for Chinese club Shandong Luneng, had been receiving treatment in the hospital for the past three weeks. He was discharged on Tuesday after testing negative for the virus.
“Fellaini was assessed, deemed to have recovered, and was discharged today,” stated Shandong football club on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old Shandong Luneng midfielder, the only Chinese Super League (CSL) player known to have contracted the disease, will now undergo a 14-day quarantine for further observation.
