Women in Delta State Protesting Extension of Lockdown

Today, women in Sapele, Delta state are staging a protest against the state's lockdown extension. The state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, announced on Tuesday April 14th, a two weeks extension of the lockdown in the state. With the state currently having three confirmed cases of COVID19 and one death. The protesting women are demanding the state government to lift the ban on movement restriction, stating that they are hungry and struggling to feed their families due to lack of access to work.
