Six suspected ritualists arrested in Lagos
On Monday afternoon, April 20, pandemonium erupted in the Shogunle and Ladipo area of Agege Motor Road in Lagos state following the arrest of six suspected ritualists.
Reports indicate that the suspected ritualists, known for abducting passersby along the road, were apprehended after a failed attempt to abduct a street sweeper.
The street sweeper's cry for help attracted residents of the area and area boys who came to her rescue. One of the suspected ritualists attempted to flee upon sighting them but was chased and apprehended by the area boys.
Five other suspected ritualists were also apprehended, and their lynching was prevented due to the timely intervention of the police.
