FG apologises for the violation of social distancing order at late Abba Kyari's funeral
The Federal government has issued an apology to Nigerians for the breach of social distancing protocols observed at the funeral of late Abba Kyari, the former Chief of Staff.
Chairman of the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19, Boss Mutapha, conveyed the apology during the taskforce's daily media briefing in Abuja on Monday evening, April 20.
The violation of social distancing guidelines at the burial of Abba Kyari sparked public outrage, with videos and photos circulating online showing a large crowd in attendance. The government's efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 were disregarded during the burial.
