Two suspected cultists arrested in Ogun for allegedly killing OPC member in front of his pregnant wife

Two suspected cultists have been arrested by the police in Ogun for allegedly killing a member of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) identified as Kolawole Ajomale.   The suspects, Korede Pariosho and Jide Afolabi, were arrested on Wednesday by detectives from Ijebu-Igbo division following complaints against them.   It was gathered that the suspects allegedly shot the deceased on the head and stomach on Sunday April 5, at his 20, Odo Balogun Street Oke Sapen residence, where they attacked him.   The police said the suspects allegedly murdered the deceased in the presence of his pregnant wife and then went into hiding.   Upon receiving the report, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) led his men to the hideout where the suspects were apprehended.   Spokesperson of the State Police Comm...

Coronavirus Cases Surge in Lagos, Abuja, Edo, and Bauchi

Confirming the spread, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 22 new cases of Coronavirus in Lagos, Abuja, Edo, and Bauchi.   As of 09:00 pm on April 8, Nigeria has reported a total of 276 confirmed cases of Coronavirus. Man arrested for stealing and selling 2 million face masks

An individual has been apprehended by law enforcement for the theft of approximately 2 million face masks from a medical supplies company, which had gone bankrupt.   The perpetrator proceeded to vend the masks to associates in Portugal after storing the stock at a secured warehouse on an industrial estate in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, as indicated in reports from Spain.                                          Authorities conducting the investigation revealed that the individual not only pilfered masks but also appropriated other protective gear such as surgical gloves.   As a result of the theft, the Spanish government had to resort to an emergency purchase of face masks from China when faced with a shortage as coronavirus infections surged and fatalities escalated in Spain.   ...
