The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, has returned to work after recovering from COVID-19.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson resumed his official duties on Monday, having fully recovered from the coronavirus.
Delivering his first public statement since being admitted to St Thomas’s Hospital in London on April 5, Johnson expressed optimism about the U.K.'s progress in combating the virus.
Addressing the public from outside Number 10 Downing Street, he commended the British people for their sacrifices during the lockdown period but cautioned that the current phase carried the "moment of maximum risk."
