Coronavirus: FG did not invite Chinese doctors to Nigeria – Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire

The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire has dispelled claims of the federal government inviting Chinese doctors to help in the fight against Coronavirus in the country.    The Minister who made the clarification while appearing on Channels TV’s News at 10, said the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) brought in the doctors to help the FG.    Osagie also disclosed that the doctors are currently in isolation and they will soon start a video conferencing with them to learn from their experience.    He said;    “I think in the first place we didn’t bring them in, and I think China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) in its wisdom and probably in its corporate social responsibility thought they should bring people in to come and help us and give advice...

Despite his father's payment of N4.5 million ransom, 15-year-old Abubakar, son of a medical doctor in Bauchi, was killed by suspected kidnappers.   Abubakar, who attends a secondary school in Bauchi, was abducted on April 1st in front of his father's house along Gombe road in Ningi local government area of the state.   Dr. Sadiq, who works at the Abubakar Tafawa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi, was at work when he received the news of his son's abduction.
