Lagos state government dismisses claims of lifting lockdown order for Easter celebration

The claims of lifting the lockdown order for Easter celebration in Lagos state have been dismissed by the state government. The government clarified that the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic is still in effect and only the Federal government has the authority to lift it. The United Labour Congress of Nigeria (ULC) has responded to the decision of the Federal Government to permit construction giant, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, CCECC, to bring in 15 Chinese doctors to aid the country in the fight against the novel coronavirus.
