Kano government arrests Imam for holding Juma’at prayer amid Coronavirus lockdown

The Kano government has arrested the Imam of Gwammaja Mosque for conducting Juma’at prayer despite the lockdown measures in place to combat the spread of Coronavirus. On Friday, April 17, Lagos state confirmed three new Coronavirus deaths. The State's Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, disclosed the information. No private hospital has been given approval for Coronavirus treatment – Health Minister , Ehanire Osagie

The Minister of Health, Ehanire Osagie, has stated that no private hospital has been approved for Coronavirus treatment. According to him, some private hospitals that have shown interest in treating the virus have not yet met the necessary criteria for approval.
