Didier Drogba, Chelsea Legend, Donates His Hospital in Ivory Coast as COVID-19 Treatment Center (Photos)

Former Chelsea and Ivorian football star, Didier Drogba, has generously offered his hospital in Ivory Coast to be utilized as a COVID-19 treatment center.   The hospital, located in the city of Abidjan, was established in 2016 and named after former Ivory Coast footballer Laurent Pokou, who passed away the same year the hospital opened.   Vincent Toh Bi Irie, the head of Abidjan's regional council, commended Drogba for his 'patriotic gesture,' stating that the hospital will aid in the battle against the disease.   'We thank Drogba for this gift considered as an act of patriotism,' Toh Bi said.  In Ivory Coast, there are over 500 COVID-19 cases and five deaths reported, but the country is gearing up for a surge in cases following warnings that African nations are at risk of becoming ...

The Birth of a Zonkey: A Zebra's Unusual Offspring with a Donkey (with Photos) Kenya's wildlife organization recently announced the birth of a "Zonkey" after its mother, a zebra, mated with a donkey.   The zebra strayed outside the Tsavo East National Park and formed a bond with a donkey in a nearby community.
