The High Commissioner of Ghana to the UK, Papa Owusu Ankomah, has contracted Coronavirus
Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK and Ireland, Papa Owusu Ankomah, has been diagnosed with Coronavirus.
Following a positive test result on Friday, April 10, Mr Ankomah was placed in the Intensive Care Unit of a London Hospital.
Having held the position of head of Ghana’s Mission in the UK and Ireland since June 2017, the diplomat is said to be responding well to treatment.
As of now, the UK has reported over 70,000 cases of COVID-19 and nearly 9,000 deaths. Meanwhile, Ghana has confirmed 378 cases of Coronavirus, with 34 recoveries and 6 fatalities.
