Former Vice Presidential candidate criticizes relaxation of lockdown for religious reasons
In a recent interview, Peter Obi, former Vice Presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), voiced his disapproval of the government's decision to relax lockdown orders in various states for Jumat and Easter celebrations.
During his appearance on Arise TV on Friday April 10, Obi expressed his belief that relaxing lockdown orders for religious reasons is inappropriate due to the escalating coronavirus pandemic and the country's lack of sufficient resources to manage it.
Obi also highlighted the insufficient number of ventilators in some states that have relaxed the lockdown directives, in case the situation worsens.
