Ogun state preparing to ease presidential lockdown following discharge of six more COVID-19 patients
Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun, announced on Friday evening that the presidential lockdown order in the state will be relaxed. This announcement comes as the state has discharged six more COVID-19 patients, leaving only three confirmed cases.
Through his Twitter handle, Governor Dapo Abiodun stated that residents will be permitted to travel within the state on the following dates: Monday, April 20; Wednesday, April 22; and Friday, April 24. This movement is allowed between the hours of 7am and 2pm on each of the specified days.
The relaxation of the lockdown aims to enable residents to engage in essential activities such as conducting businesses, obtaining food items, and accessing other basic supplies.
