Tragic Incident: Woman and Two Children Perish in Fire in Rivers (see photos)

Today, on April 28th, a devastating fire broke out in a one-room apartment in Alikor estate, Choba, Rivers state, claiming the lives of a Nigerian woman and her two children, both under the age of 10. They were tragically burnt to death in the incident.   Reports indicate that the fire is suspected to have been caused by the kerosene the woman was selling. The bodies of the woman and her children have been removed and placed in the morgue.

In a tragic incident on Saturday, April 25, three sisters, aged between 14 and 20, drowned in a river at Amaeze village in Ishiagu community of Ebonyi State.   The siblings, who attended Comprehensive Secondary School in Ishiagu, were found floating on the water. The cause of their deaths remains unknown. They were reportedly buried beside the stream without caskets, in accordance with cultural traditions.   The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ivo Divisional Police Post, Mr. Nwornu Daniel, confirmed the incident, describing it as a case of sudden and unnatural death.

Coronavirus: Lagos chief judge approves hearing of cases via Zoom and Skype

The approval of remote hearing of cases using platforms such as Zoom and Skype by the Chief judge of Lagos state, Kazeem Alogba, has been met with great importance.
