Kaduna state government reports discharge of fifth COVID-19 patient and discovery of three new cases

The Kaduna state government has announced the discharge of its fifth COVID-19 patient while also confirming the recording of three new cases of the virus.   In a statement released by Dr. Amina Baloni, the state Commissioner for Health, it was revealed that the three new cases all had recent travel history. One of the new cases is a 23-year-old man who arrived in the state in March from Instabul via Dubai. The two remaining cases recently traveled to the state from Kano. Dr. Baloni appealed to people to refrain from traveling and to stay in their homes in order to curb the community transmission being witnessed.   Read the statement below

Nigeria sees 117 new cases of Coronavirus in Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Borno Ogun, Rivers, and Bauchi

There have been 117 new cases of Coronavirus reported in Nigeria. As per the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), Lagos recorded 59 new cases, FCT 29, Kano 14, Borno 6, Katsina 4, Ogun 3, and one case each in Rivers and Bauchi state.
