New York Emerges as Global Epicenter for Coronavirus Infections
New York state has now become the epicenter for Coronavirus infections, surpassing all countries outside of the United States in terms of confirmed cases.
The state witnessed a surge in confirmed cases, reaching 159,937 after recording an additional 10,000 infections in just 24 hours.
For comparison, Spain has reported over 152,000 cases, while Italy has confirmed more than 142,000. China, the initial epicenter of the Coronavirus outbreak, currently has nearly 83,000 infections.
With 469,450 cases, the United States stands as the country with the highest number of confirmed Coronavirus cases in the world.
