Immigration chief Mohammed Babandede recovers from COVID-19
Mohammed Babandede, the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), has overcome COVID-19 after receiving treatment.
In March, the Immigration chief revealed that he had tested positive for the virus following his return from a trip to the UK and subsequently went into self-isolation.
In a tweet posted on Tuesday, April 14, Babandede announced that he had tested negative for COVID-19 twice.
"I just received my 2nd negative report on COVID-19. I would like to thank all of you for your supplications. This victory is from God; we thank Him for giving me the opportunity to have the experience, which is more than my education and public service," he wrote.
