COVID-19: Mother with no symptoms unintentionally infects 17 of 18 children with Coronavirus

A mother in New York who contracted Coronavirus without showing any symptoms has unknowingly spread the virus to 17 of her 18 children.   Brittany Jencik, residing in Penfield, N.Y., near Rochester, stated that she transmitted the virus to her children, some of whom were adopted, while she was asymptomatic approximately five weeks ago.   She mentioned that her children started displaying COVID-19 symptoms after she became seriously ill from the virus.   Recalling her experience, she stated, "'It was terrifying. Actor Ranjit Chowdhry passes away at the age of 64

Nigeria Reports 51 New Cases of COVID-19

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 51 new cases of the novel coronavirus in the country.   According to the NCDC's tweet on Friday April 17, there were thirty-two cases in Lagos, six in Kano, five in Kwara, two each in the Federal Capital Territory and Oyo, and one each in Ogun and Ekiti.   This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria to 493, with 159 discharged cases and 17 deaths.
