Tragic Incident: 24-Year-Old NHS Worker Fatally Stabbed in London, Shortly After Father’s Death from Coronavirus
An NHS worker was fatally stabbed in what authorities described as a "totally unprovoked attack" in east London. 24-year-old David Gomoh from Canning Town, East London, was scheduled to attend his father, Ken's funeral on Wednesday after his father succumbed to Coronavirus.
Gomoh, who was employed at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London, was reportedly on the phone with a friend when he was assaulted by a group of men in masks, suffering multiple stab wounds, just moments after leaving his home at 10.25 pm on Sunday.
Law enforcement responded to the incident at Freemasons Road at 10.26 pm, and Gomoh was rushed to an east London hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
