The news of the passing of former Togolese Prime Minister and diplomat, Edem Kodjo, at the age of 82 has been confirmed. Serving as the prime minister of Togo from 1994 to 1996 and from 2005 to 2006, under the leadership of former president Gnassingbe Eyadema, he passed away in Paris on Saturday, April 11. Togolese Foreign Minister, Robert Dussey, expressed his condolences in a tweet, noting Kodjo as a "brilliant academic" and "ardent Pan-African."
