An outcry has been made on Twitter concerning the prolonged custody of a 13-year-old boy and his classmates, who were arrested almost two months ago and are yet to be released.   The Twitter user, Latifah, revealed that her brother, a student at Government Technical College, Ewet, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, was apprehended with other students on February 19 after a fight broke out at their school, prompting the intervention of the police who subsequently detained them.   In her plea for assistance, she wrote: "Hello twitter I need you all help.. My 13 year old brother has been in custody with some of his school mate since 19feb. Because there was a fight in their school and students we're raided. Kano records its first Coronavirus case

The city of Kano has reported its inaugural case of the Coronavirus. The announcement was made by Salihu Yakasai, the Director General of Media and Communications for the Kano State Government. The confirmed case resides around UDB Road and had returned from Abuja just prior to the closure of the state borders. As a precautionary measure, the individual has been isolated at the Kwanar Dawaki Isolation Centre.
