Morocco detects more than 300 cases of Coronavirus in prisons

The detection of over 300 cases of Coronavirus in Moroccan prisons has been declared by the Moroccan prison service. This came about following the testing of inmates and guards in 73 jails across the country by health authorities. Of the 1,700 tests carried out, 303 infections were recorded at a jail in Ouarzazate, with 62 of them being prison employees. Additionally, ten others were found in Marrakesh and Ksar Kebir, while further tests are being conducted to confirm five possible cases at Tangiers prison. Despite the increase in cases, the prison service assured that the situation is under control in the jails, which accommodate nearly 80,000 inmates. Arrest of notorious armed bandit, Lordstime in Lagos

An infamous armed bandit responsible for terrorizing the Idimu and Ejigbo areas in Lagos has been apprehended.   Wahab Lawal, also known as Lordstime, was captured along with his accomplice, Seun Adeniyi, following their involvement in a violent crime in Idimu, leading to the death of a victim, as reported by PM Express.    After the incident, Lawal went into hiding but was later apprehended in the Mafor area of Ejigbo by the Police Intelligence unit from the Ejigbo Division, under the leadership of DPO, CSP Olabisi Okuwobi. A father in Ekiti has refused to let his son, who recently returned from Lagos, enter his house without first getting tested for Covid-19. The son defied his father's advice to stay in Lagos until the spread of the virus is contained and proceeded to Ekiti. Upon arrival, the father insisted that his son either undergo a Covid-19 test or self-isolate for 14 days before being allowed inside. This action was influenced by the father's desire not to contribute to the spread of the virus in Ekiti, especially in light of the case of a 29-year-old pregnant community health worker who died from Covid-19 after sneaking into the state from Lagos. The request by Abdulrasheed Maina, Chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), for a review of the conditions attached to his bail, granted on November 26, 2019, has been dismissed by a federal high court.    Maina, who is facing money laundering charges, sought the review after failing to meet his bail conditions.    Previously, he was granted a N1 billion bail and ordered to deposit all his travel passports, including American, Nigerian, and diplomatic passports.
